We will have several parallel breakout sessions in the afternoon.

break-out or parallel sessions

EPSI: Innovators & EU Funding

EPSI will coordinate a workshop dedicated to showcase its methodology for supporting innovative project ideas and securing public funding. Participants will participate in different round tables that will be asked to present innovative and forward-looking project ideas in the field of Sport4all. The best idea will be then further developed in a so-called Brokerage Table, a meeting aimed at outlining the project activities, its goals, objectives but also at selecting the most suitable funding scheme. The selected idea will then be accompanied by EPSI in the different steps of the project creation process.

Taskforce for Applied research SIA: Physical activity in public spaces: when sports research, funders & local authorities join forces

Organizers: Taskforce for Applied Research SIA (KIEM Sport, SPRONG MOOI) and ZonMw (MOOI program)

Join us for a dynamic workshop focused on promoting physical activity in public spaces. This session aims to share and integrate knowledge and experiences related to enhancing accessibility to sports and physical activities through best practice examples. Participants will engage in discussions to identify and overcome obstacles while highlighting success factors for creating activity-friendly public spaces in local communities. We will also explore international comparisons and opportunities for cross-border collaboration to enrich our strategies and solutions.

  • Micha Paalman & Jolinda Horstik (Yumen Bionics): aids for people with disabilities and how to finance innovation for leisure use
  • Eline Blaauw – Paralympic Science Support NL: What are the latest scientific insights for Parasport
  • Annieck Timmerman – Team Para Atletics: Some insights in Para Athletics which we are going to visit later that evening

District Spots: a community-based approach

District Spots (DS) are local sports and meeting places 'for and by young people', where a high-quality and wide range of sports is offered to young people from the district. In this way, the offer matches the residents of that neighbourhood as much as possible, and the chance of increasing sports participation gets higher. District Spot Paris is developed by NOC*NSF from the Game Changer Project, in collaboration with our partner Futbol Mas. The District Spot in Paris is specifically designed for and by girls.
